The Three Days of the Writing of the Book Of The Law; Day 1

In Liber XV, The Gnostic Mass – the central private and public ritual of Ordo Templi Orientis and Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica – The DEACON and Congregation all rise to their feet, giving a Hailing sign and The Deacon declares:

“But ye, O my people rise up and awake!
“Let the rituals be rightly performed with joy and beauty!
“There are rituals of the elements and feasts of the times.
“A feast for the first night of the Prophet and his Bride!
“A feast for the three days of the writing of the Book of the Law.

As noted at the Invisible Basilica: “The Feast for the Three Days of the Writing of the Book of the Law is a commemoration of the anniversary the reception of the three chapters of Liber AL vel Legis in Cairo on April 8, 9 and 10, 1904. It is to be observed on April 8, 9 and 10 of each year, beginning at high noon on each day.”

The members of Local Bodies of OTO have varying traditions of reading a chapter per day, sometimes with accompanying rituals of their own device or choosing and oftimes associated with celebratory feasting.
