Mercer Museum (Doylestown, PA) Acquires Vampire-Killing Kit

In 1989, the Mercer Museum in Doylestown acquired one of its most macabre objects, a 19th-century vampire killing kit.
The small wooden box lined with green felt contains a pistol, flash powder and silver bullets, a mold for making silver bullets, a box of pulverized “flowers of garlic,” and a crucifix-shaped wooden stake. Also: a glass syringe with a large-bore needle, and two vials of crystallized serum, created by Professor Blomberg.
