The event FB page says:

“Phyllis Seckler played a key role in the history of Thelema and Ordo Templi Orientis. She was central to the work at Agape Lodge in Pasadena during Crowley’s lifetime, and then central again in the rebirth of Ordo Templi Orientis in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a leader, a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to many of those who went on to found and lead U.S. Grand Lodge. She was also one of the earliest and most important guides on the magical path of our presenter.

“Catherine joined Ordo Templi Orientis in 1987. She has held a variety of leadership positions in the Order, at the local level (Master of Baphomet Lodge and Deputy Master of LVX Oasis, among others), the national level (Bishop of EGC, member of the Grand Tribunal, USGL Internet Secretary), and the international level. Despite the appearance of leading an entirely virtual existence, she does occupy a physical body in Los Angeles, where she lives with her wife Leanne. Among her personal areas of research are the role of humor in magick and the culture and philosophy of the ancient Aztecs.”
