Graham Bond was a seminal British Jazz/Rock band leader who’s ensembles included the likes of John McLaughlin, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Dick Heckstall-Smith and others who’d go on to be important names in the the 60’s Rock Scene. He was also an unrepentant free-range Thelemite. Google ‘im! Here’s a performance by Bond alumnus Ginger Baker with his post Blind Faith big band “Airforce,” with Graham on keys and lead vocals. They perform the old American Gospel-Blues, “12 Gates to the City.” About midway, he breaks into a chant of “IAO SABAOTH” with backing singers joining in.
