Boleskine House Aquires its First Fireplace

The Boleskine House Foundation posted regarding the first of the furnishings being acquired as part of the restoration of this historic and holy edificie – a fireplace! The post says:

“It’s a rainy day at Boleskine, so today we have been searching for fireplaces. We have secured this stunning fireplace for Room 4, the Dining Room. It’s made of Marble, with beautiful carved pilaster detail and a verdigris marble in the centre. It’s very large, so will sit beautifully with the panelled walls. Originally £18k and in a £25mil house in London, it’s now reclaimed and we have it secured for £4.8k second hand.

“We are looking for sponsors for our fireplaces and we will recognise your contribution with your name listed at the house. If your interested to sponsor this one please PM or email!”
