Three Hands Press Publishing “Plants Of The Devil” This Summer

Three Hands Press has announced its publication of Plants of the Devil by by Corinne Boyer this coming August. The publisher’s description is:

“Plants of the Devil examines the history and magic of herbs associated with Satan and his minions, delving into the folklore of ancient Europe and the British Isles. Examined in the book are the diabolical concept of the Wild Adversary and the Devil’s Garden, Temptation, plants that harm and curse such as Blackberry, Stinging Nettle, Briar Rose, and Thistle, poisonous plants, herbs of evil omen, and herbs for protection, or ‘Plants to keep the Dark Prince at bay.’ The 176 page book is printed on heavy stock and is densely illustrated with original and haunting images by Marzena Ablewska, known for her disturbing depictions of botanical specimens, diablerie, and the sinister feminine. The book will be of great interest to students of the occult, witchcraft, and plant folklore.”

a STANDARD HARDCOVER EDITION, with full color dust jacket, limited to 1,200 copies
a DELUXE EDITION: quarter bound in crimson pigskin with gilt stamping, with marbled endpapers and slipcase, limited to 41 hand numbered copies.
a SPECIAL EDITION, bound in full crimson pigskin with gilt stamping, with marbled endpapers and slipcase, limited to 17 hand numbered copies.
