Cline Cashmere ($15)
Ixel Balamke’s wine notes
Color – Garnet.
Aroma – Red berry fruits.
Initial Taste – Mainly cherries but also a hint of plum. Has a crisp acidity to it, hence will pair well with meats, pizza, mushrooms, Gouda cheese and red sauce pastas.
Finish – Soft tannins with a lengthy finish of red berry fruit and hints of cocoa at the end.
The wine is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah with 14% alcohol content. It is from the Carneros, Sonoma Valley appellation. FYI, Cline Cashmere is one of my favorite everyday wines.
