Earlier this month, the New York Times published a guide on acquiring and working with tarot cards. You’ll find nothing surprising in the advice given… except that it’s in the friggin’ NYT! It’s all the exact same guidelines that every occult shop owner, O.T.O. lecturer and published books on getting started with tarot reading (they even recommend the Rider Waite deck). Except it appears, without any disclaimer, incredulity, etc. – in the New York Times. Yep, occulture has seriously gone mainstream!
