Seldom Scene Harry Smith Typewriter Drawings

The Harry Smith Archive posted some cool stuff on their FB feed about some seldom seen work by the late EGC Bishop:

“This series of fascinating and fastidious Typewriter Drawings is oft-overlooked when considering the body of Harry’s work. From what we know, these were created between the 1970s and the 1980s.”

And let’s not forget that a major Smith exhibit opens at the Whitney Museum in NYC this Fall, coinciding (coincidentally?) with the publication of a major biography by noted biographer John Szwed. Likely these drawing were found as archivists reviewed materials in preparation for the Whitney exhibit.
