TMZ has a nice report on the kerfuffle surround rapper Lil Nas X’s limited edition “Satan shoes” which feature an inverted cross, bronze inverse pentagram and a drop of human blood and an $1018.00 price tag. Reportedly, the entire edition of 666 pairs (of course) have already sold out. In addition, a spokesman for the Church of Satan is publicly supporting the shoes; the Church of Satan was founded in the 1960’s by Anton LaVey, and from which the Temple of Set schismed off in 1975; the Storm, led by Zeena LaVey Schreck, schismed off from the ToS in 1995. These two latter groups believe in the literal existence of a luciferian Deity named Set. None of these groups is associated with the Satanic Temple, an essentially atheistic organization.
