Created in Asbury Park, NJ, Ov Stars features co-writers Alice Genese (Psychic TV, Sexpod) and Shaune Pony Heath. ‘Ov Stars’ is the debut single from the duo’s forthcoming EP titled ‘Tuesdays’ (available digitally in April 2022, and on a limited edition vinyl late summer or early fall 2022). Alice met singer/songwriter/pianist Shaune Pony Heath in Asbury Park and immediately sparked a friendship. The friendship grew over the years into a writing partnership which led to the recording of a five song EP with several members of Psychic TV.
Alice spent the better part of two decades as the Bass Player and song writer in Psychic TV, a Nationally and internationally touring band fronted by the late Genesis Breyer P’Orridge. Having released several studio as well as live recordings during her time in Psychic TV, it was only natural for her to choose to record the music of Ov Stars with her bandmates/chosen family.
Shaune Pony Heath, originally from South Africa, moved to the United States in 2008. First living in New York City and then ending up Asbury Park, NJ where he has been creating music and art ever since.
