New Review of Ithell Colquhoun Biography

Well, this comes a couple years after the fact, but, here’s an interesting recent book review of Amy Hale’s Ithell Colquhoun, Genius of the Fern Loved Gully. An excerpt reads:

“Hale rightly gives significant literary space to Colquhoun’s involvement in a plethora of British esoteric orders, including ritual service in the Ancient Order of Druids, conflicted interest in Aleister Crowley’s Ordo Templi Orientis, and her abiding admiration for the Order of the Golden Dawn. Colquhoun’s color theory owes everything to the ritual practices of the Golden Dawn, and her erotic art to kundalini tantra – tantric sex was popularized among traditionalist occult groups at that time.”
