Good afternoon, I hope you are well. I am currently writing a blog about the history of traction aids and ice cleats and would love to be able to use the image in your article of Eckenstein’s original Crampons. I was hoping to get permission to use the image if possible. I work for the Due North and K1 Series traction brands and am doing a short blog on the history.

we don’t own the rights, nor have info about who does – sorry. if the rights owner ever asks us to remove – we will, immediately
I was a student of Bill Heidrick in the mid 70’s
His class ultimately changed my life and now at the late stage of 82 I have written a book to explain this journey. Who is the best person to contact on the possibility of submission for publication?

You’d be best served approaching commercial publishers who handle this sort of material: Inner Traditions, Llewelyn, Hadean Press for example. Best of luck finding a home for your book!
