Philadelphia Magazine reports on a large quantity of archaeological materials that have been recovered from, ummm, privies occupying the site where the Museum of the American Revolution is being erected in Philadelphia, in the heart of what locals call “Old City.” These privies date back to residences and at least one tavern in use in the 185th century a few blocks East of Independence hall.
