Happy Imbolc!

The Celtic feast day of Imbolc runs from the evening of Wednesday, February 1, 2023 through the evening of Thursday, February 2, 2023.  Here’s a little history:

Imbolc or Imbolg (Irish pronunciation: [ɪˈmˠɔlˠɡ]), also called Saint Brigid’s Day (IrishLá Fhéile BrídeScottish GaelicLà Fhèill BrìghdeManxLaa’l Breeshey), is a Gaelic traditional festival. It marks the beginning of spring, and for Christians, it is the feast day of Saint Brigid, Ireland’s patroness saint. It is held on 1 February, which is about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.[1][2] Historically, its traditions were widely observed throughout IrelandScotland and the Isle of Man. Imbolc is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, along with: BealtaineLughnasadh and Samhain.[3]
