Today marks the 101st birthday of Harry Everett Smith, canonized a Saint of the Eccelesia Gnostica Catholica, last year by the Holy Father of the church, Hymenaeus Beta. You can search this blog for scads of news items and articles on Harry, links to films by him, on him etc. We’ve been fans since the 1990’s when he epochal Anthology of American Folk Music was re-issued on CD for the first time – this collection being one of the greatest works of talismanic art of the 20th century -I’d suggest.
