The Boleskine House Foundation announced the following on their FB page:
“The brutal reality of managing a heritage project during an economic crisis is that you can’t always afford to do everything you want to do. Inflation and supply chain disruption is continuing to provide unique challenges for our project.
“We do not have the money to rebuild the gables with their original stone, but we are hard at work putting them back with block-work. The block work will eventually be hidden behind newly formed walls anyway and will not be seen, leaving us to use the resources we have for stunning stone chimneys to sit atop these gables soon.
So for the next few months we will be working hard to #RebuildBoleskine and rebuild the gables, with chimneys to come very soon!”
So if you haven’t donated to this reconstruction project yet but had been thinking about it, now’s a good time!
