The second season of CBS All Access’ Strange Angel premiers tomorrow and Laine Neil discussed some of what viewers can expect in some comments to Hollywood. Their coverage includes a shockingly complete and pretty accurate (if truncated) overview of O.T.O. and Thelema. Laine plays “Patty Byrne,” the younger sister of the character “Susan Parsons.” Of course this is where this series is consistently wonky as neither of these characters is a historical figure. Jack Parsons’ first wife was named Helen, and her half sister was named Sara Northrup, nicknamed Betty. ANYWAY… Miss Neil said:
“The upcoming season definitely gives you more insight into life at the Agape Lodge,” Laine explained, referring to the California-based chapter of the Ordo Templi Orientis — the religious organization Jack Parsons has become a disciple of. “Jack and Susan are now very much a part of it and it explores the affect that it has on everyone in their own specific ways.”

No revelations here, but it is interesting that they might be paying more attention to what the mystical side of this story was/is all about.
