Two NYC Exhibitions Featuring the Work of Leonora Carrington

If you read this blog regularly you KNOW that we dig artist/author Leonora Carrington, an amazingly skilled and powerful Surrealist painter and reputed puissant and individualist occultist (according to her onetime magical apprentice Alejandro Jodorowsky’s accounts). So we were incredibly excited that there were TWO exhibitions running in NYC featuring her work, one at Gallery Wendi Norris on Madison Avenue devoted to Carrington exclusively and another at Di Donna Galleries providing an overview of female Surrealists residing in Mexico that includes Leonora’s work. Sadly both have already closed but the New York Times review is still worth reading.
