The Boleskine House Foundation recently posted about progress on the conversation and restoration of the former habitation of the Prophet of the Lovely Star:
It’s been a busy week at Boleskine House!
We’re thrilled to have Ri Cruden on site, installing underfloor heating on the ground floor. We’re using a water-based system powered by our air source heat pumps, which will help us:
De-carbonise our energy use.
Ensure even heat distribution throughout the downstairs.
Preserve the historic charm by keeping radiators out of sight.
This system is a key step toward sustainability while staying true to the building’s character.
Exciting news: In 2025, we’ll host events where you can learn about our new systems and discover practical tips to cut carbon at home. Stay tuned for dates!
