Underfloor Heating Being Installed at Boleskine House

The Boleskine House Foundation recently posted about progress on the conversation and restoration of the former habitation of the Prophet of the Lovely Star:

🌿 It’s been a busy week at Boleskine House!

We’re thrilled to have Ri Cruden on site, installing underfloor heating on the ground floor. We’re using a water-based system powered by our air source heat pumps, which will help us:

✅ De-carbonise our energy use.

✅ Ensure even heat distribution throughout the downstairs.

✅ Preserve the historic charm by keeping radiators out of sight.

This system is a key step toward sustainability while staying true to the building’s character.

📅 Exciting news: In 2025, we’ll host events where you can learn about our new systems and discover practical tips to cut carbon at home. Stay tuned for dates!
