That bastion of sober, utterly-factual coverage, England’s Daily Mail reports that tourists who’ve pocketed archaeological materials from the site of the ancient city of Pompeii — everything from fragments of pottery to entire statues — have been returning them to local authorities explaining that they felt their lives were cursed after the thefts. There is such a quantity of returned artifacts that site administrators are considering building a museum devoted exclusively to such pieces!
