Inexplicably, a post from Australia’s Grand Lodge of O.T.O. popped up in my FB feed about the rediscovery of the never published third volume of Aleister Crowley’s Confessions. Originally planned as a six volume set, two made it into print via Mandrake Press during Crowley’s lifetime while the third foundered due to a falling about between him and the publisher. After Crowley’s death, interest in his life and work began to grow and various, often shoddy, sensationalistic and misleading appeared prompting his old publisher and literary executor to re-examine the writings he’d left behind, including the third volume of The Confessions.
