Wildhunt.org recently posted an interesting piece on Attorney Robin Martinez who is involved in local court battles in South Dakota to prevent the Keystone XL pipeline to run through that state – which would then thwart the pipeline being built at all – hopefully. Martinez practices Traditional Religion and his stance on this issue stems from his religious beliefs:
“I have a strong environmental ethic,” he said, “and a strong sense, like a lot of us who are Pagan, of the interconnectedness of all beings. It’s so much bigger than us; we’re just a part of that web.”
“I have been lucky enough to have been blessed with a set of skills and abilities — and a law license — that allow me to do whatever I can to help protect the Earth from being degraded and polluted.”
