In his “Rights Of Man” the Prophet of The Lovely Star laid out a list of human rights, pointedly in monosyllabic words so the list would be comprehensible to folks at every level of literacy. One of these rights was “Man has the right to love as he will.” As we’ve mentioned before, the only disclaimer the majority of Thelemites would offer is that this be between consenting adults. But from that point on, anything goes. The BBC recently published an overview of the great diversity of attitudes towards sex one can encounter without very much research. The story says:
“For this reason, trying to describe the ‘normal’ sex life is something of a fool’s errand; the variety is so great that a single statistic is never going to capture how most people feel. So BBC Future has looked at the data to try to get an idea of the full spread of the sexual spectrum – from how much we actually want sex to what we really do between the sheets.”
