Salon.com reports that the Hilton Hotel chain – where NOTOCON I, VII, IX and X took place – is banning pay-per-view porn from the channels guests can access on their in-room television sets. This decision is being hailed as a victory against “sexual exploitation” by National Center on Sexual Exploitation who, in their statement regarding this matter conflate adult programming with sex trafficking and child porn – a grouping that some might dispute.
“Staying at a Hilton hotel and want to spice up your stay with some porn? You only have until July 1, 2016 to watch it through them; after that, pay-per-view porn will disappear from the worldwide chain’s television screens, a decision that’s being hailed as a major victory by conservative group National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE). You may remember them as the same group that recently launched a successful campaign to get Cosmopolitan magazine covered up in stores like Rite Aid because it, too, was tagged with the dreaded “porn” title by the group.
thanks to Sister Hypatia for the tip!
93. I suspect Hilton is only now removing the option to watch Pay-per-View porn in their accommodations because the profits were dwindling. As as endless variety of sexual oriented content is available on every internet connected phone, tablet & computer – for free – why would one pay for the limited selection available on the hotel tv? Now, they can cut their costs AND appear to be an ‘acceptable’ hotel chain for the conservative christian base.
Thank you a bunch for sharing this with all people you really recognise what you’re talking approximately!
