Yes, this day in history was a BAD one for Gnostic Saints! Karl Germer died of prostate cancer this day in 1962 in Westpoint, CA at age 77. He had been an avid student of The Master Therion who was arrested by the Gestapo and confined to a concentration camp because of his connection with Crowley. He maintained that he attained to the Knowledge and Conversation of his Holy Guardian Angel while imprisoned by reading, memorizing and then reciting passages from the Holy Books of Thelema from memory. Upon being freed he emigrated with his wife to the United States. He was key in collecting and forwarding financial support to the Great Beast during the latter’s final years. He was designated by Crowley as his successor as OHO and took office upon the latter’s death in 1947, serving in that position till his own passing. He also was administrative head of A.’.A.’.
