First Day of the Writing of the Book of the Law

The Grand Master of U.S. Grand Lodge of Ordo Templi Orientis shares these greetings:

“Greetings and blessings on this the 114th annual commemoration of the First Day of the Three Days of the Writing of the Book of the Law! At noon on April 8, 1904 in his flat in the Būlāq district of Cairo, Egypt, following the instructions of Ouarda the Seer, Aleister Crowley sat down at his writing table and took dictation for exactly one hour. The result was the first chapter of Liber AL vel Legis, the Book of the Law.

“Come forth, o children, under the stars, & take your fill of love!”
