The long work of restoration of Boleskine House in Scotland is almost completed. The Boleskine House Foundation expects to have it essentially wrapped up next month on October 3. Today, the ornate mantel for the main fireplace arrived. The Foundation’s FB page says:
The Egyptian fireplace arrives!
One of Finn’s masterpiece has arrived at Boleskine House! Our skilled stonemasons carefully position this extraordinary Egyptian Revival fireplace, ready for installation.
The intricate hieroglyphic carvings and symbolic details will soon grace one of our most special rooms. Finn will carve the final line in situ.
