Anyone interested in occultism in New Zealand, the Golden Dawn in the antipodes, or the Whare Ra Temple of the GD in particular, will want to check out Georgina White’s booklet Dr. Robert Felkin: Magician on the Borderland (MTG Hawkes Bay, 2014). At 70 pages, it provides a concise but well-researched biography of Felkin and his exploits. The only other book I can think of offhand that also falls into this niche of occult geograpy is Robert S. Ellwood’s Islands of the Dawn: The Story of Alternative Spirituality in New Zealand (University of Hawaii Press, 1993).
