Dolores Ashcroft-Norwicki passed away in hospice in Jersey, United Kingdom, January 8. She was the Director of Studies with Servants of Light. A Qabbalistic, Pagan & Occult order. Magician, ritualist, teacher, author. Caitlin Matthews wrote a lovely appreciation of her life and work on substack.
Hundreds of people have passed through SOL’s [Servants of Light] training, some staying, others going, but always with a better sense of who they were, what they were about, and cognisant of the spiritual reality surrounding them. Dolores supplemented the correspondence course with meetings, conferences, ritual gatherings at many different venues around the world, with enduring daughter houses of SOL continuing in USA and the Caribbean. In 2018, she handed over to Dr Steve Critchley who continues to run the SOL as its principle. The original course was a wonderful basic training in meditation: a foundation that gave every student a core of strength and concentration. Dolores subsequently rewrote Ernest Butler’s original course at the change of the millennium and Dr Steve Critchley overhauled and rewrote it again, with no loss of power, to work in a more immediate way for students learning today.
