The other day I posted about the re-release of the so-called “wax cylinder” recordings of Aleister Crowley. Thankfully, far more educated and astute individuals than myself are following Zeroequalstwo.net. One of these, Dr. Richard Kaczynski, author of Perdurabo, Forgotten Templars, and The Weiser Concise Guide to Aleister Crowley, caught an oft repeated mistake in my previous post. According to Dr. Kaczynski, contrary to the reporting on Factmag.org, the recordings of the voice of Aleister Crowley were actually done in the 1930’s and were not pressed on wax cylinder. Richard further graciously directed us to an article by the British Library which discusses the recordings.
