Here’s a sad story from the New York Times about “Halloween House,” a private home in Poughkeepsie that was a longtime meeting place for local members of the Church of Satan, many of whom had relocated to the area specifically to be part of a community of Church members. Interestingly, Poughkeepsie is listed as the HQ of CoS at Wikipedia; who knew? Happily, no lives were lost but the impact on the local community has been profound. Read on:
