The American Academy of Religion has announced that it’s annual meeting will be held in Boston, Massachusetts November 18–21 at Hynes Convention Center, Fairmont Copley Plaza, Hilton Back Bay, Marriott Copley Place, Park Plaza Hotel, Sheraton, and Westin Copley Place.
More than 1,200 events—academic sessions, additional meetings, receptions, tours, and workshops—will be offered. Conference hotels are located within walking distance of one another, except the Park Plaza, which will have a shuttle from the Hynes at peak hours.
The American Academy of Religion brings thousands of professors and students, authors and publishers, religious leaders and interested laypersons to its Annual Meeting each year. Co-hosted with the Society of Biblical Literature, the Annual Meetings are the largest events of the year in the fields of religious studies and theology. Some 10,000 people are expected for the 2017 Annual Meetings, where more than 1,000 academic sessions and additional meetings will be offered.
