Yes this was one of the amazing wines that we tasted at our wine tasting at Notocon X this passed weekend. First off please notice their Trademark. Looks a little familiar, doesn’t it?
I thought that I would share what Peter and Denise Clarke (the owners of the winery) did to ensure that we could have their wines for our tasting. I ordered their wines and UPS shipped them to Sistar Nessa. The wines arrived but they had leaked. Peter sent another shipment of wines. This time UPS driver dropped the package and left without anyone signing for it. The UPS driver basically broke the law because wine is supposed to be signed for by someone who is over the age of 21. The wines were damaged. I frantically called Peter and he sent another shipment. Sistar Trisha called Peter realizing that there would be no one there to sign for the wines. Peter went to the UPS store and changed the delivery to the hotel. If it were not for the extra effort on Peter’s part, we would have not been able to taste their wines.
About the winery, it is located in the Highland Valley near San Diego. This is a very young and new wine district in CA. The wines from this new district are amazing and very inexpensive. I highly recommend that you visit the area especially Altipiano winery. The winemaker is Denise Clarke. This is her story in her own words – http://www.altipianovineyard.com/winemaker.html
Of all the wines at the wine tasting, their wines are the most affordable. You can purchase their wines by phone. I highly suggest that you join their wine club and get 4 shipments a year of their amazing wines. I’m in their reds only club. Their Brunella is their best wine by far. Oh and when you do order wines, be sure and mention my name.
