The BBC reports that exposing men to bright light can improve their sexual satisfaction – with the Sun being the most powerful source of natural light at our disposal this is an intriguing linking of the literal solar to the literal phallic. The story begins:
“Scientists from the University of Siena in Italy found that using a light box, similar to those used to treat some forms of depression, increased testosterone levels.
“And this led to greater reported levels of sexual satisfaction.”
