In The Gnostic Mass, the Priest asks

Now the BBC reports that this vehicle for the Light of our Lord in the Universe can be donated for medical use by gay and bisexual men:
“The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will allow gay men to donate blood if they have been celibate for one year – lifting a 30-year ban.”
Gay rights activists, as the story reports feel that this remaining stricture is unwarranted and based on anti-Gay bias.
If heterosexuals – which includes a significant number of those carrying the HIV and AIDS virus – were subject to the same strictures…there’d be about 2 pints of blood per blood bank in this country, methinks.
