AOL.com reports that the monument celebrating the Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai by JHVH was removed from the grounds of the state capitol last night at 10:30PM and moved the grounds of a conservative think tank several blocks away where it is likely to be erected for public display.
The removal of this monument was a goal of the Satanic Temple who raised 10’s of 1000’s of dollars to create a seven foot tall interpretation of Baphomet in bronze which they sought to have installed on the premises of Oklahoma’s state capitol as well, insisting that there be equal representation of religous traditions or none. They were joined by Baptist preacher Bruce Prescott, Hindus in Nevada, animal rights advocates and A Hindu leader in Nevada, and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster in protesting the placement of the original monument on governmental grounds.
