OTO members in New Orleans have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help defray the costs of putting an official “krewe” on the streets during Carnival, marching as a sub-krewe of KreweDelusion. This will be the second year they’d participate as an official entity. Their parade route starts at the border between the Bywater and Faubourg Marigny neighborhoods, then marches through the French Quarter. “Krewe What Thou Wilt” is the official Mardi Gras Krewe of the New Orleans Ordo Templi Orientis body, Alombrados Oasis. Alombrados Oasis is a Thelemic initiatory fraternity located in the valley of New Orleans and is dedicated to the high purpose of securing the Liberty of the Indvidual and his or her advancement in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, on the Foundation of Universal Brotherhood.
This past Mardi Gras, 2015, was our inaugural Parade. We rolled the first parading night of the season under the auspices of our seasoned mother Krewe, krewedelusion, a surrealist and satarical Carnival Parade. Krewe What Thou Wilt was organized and funded solely by the efforts and generosity of its charter members. Krewe What Thou Wilt exists for the purpose of promulgating and celebrating Thelema within and beyond Alombrados and Greater New Orleans. This year’s goal of $3,000.00 will help ensure our growth and improvement.
