U.S. Grand Lodge of Ordo Templi made the following announcement today
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
As announced in November of 2025, United States Grand Lodge completed the purchase of a large building in central Connecticut. This property represents the first Profess House to be established under U.S.G.L. in its history.
The building is over 100 years old and built in a grand New England style, with what will become a large temple and meeting spaces on the first floor. The second floor has two bedrooms with en suite baths, two utility/flex spaces, a full kitchen, and a laundry room. The third floor has yet another small bedroom with a full bath.
Crowley ascribes a number of potential uses to a Profess House in his writings, in the light of which epistles the by-laws and general operational procedures are now being established. At present, and to make the most consistent use of the investment, it is intended to serve as a meeting space for Mithras Oasis, a conference space for regional and smaller national events, and lodging for sojourning members of our Order on a reservation basis, but first, we must build the temple.
While the property is in good shape for its age, there remains much work to be done to improve the overall experience for members of our Order. To date, we have installed a new, energy-efficient furnace, re-insulated several areas of the house, and completed significant plumbing and electrical work. Further repairs are planned to make the house more energy-efficient, as well as refinishing and remodeling the interior.
Crowley writes of the Profess-Houses of the Order in Liber CXXIV, “Travelling Brethren are to accommodate themselves gladly to the plank-bed of one Abbot as to the eiderdown of his neighbor,” and while this is a sentiment with which we agree, our aim in furnishing the Profess-House is closer to the midpoint of that spectrum, and we seek to furnish the property suitable to the hospitality we seek to provide members traveling to the Profess-House in the future. Perhaps even you!
(Note: Details about staying at the Profess House are being worked out presently, but have not been finalized.)
We have set the ambitious goal of raising $100,000 over the next six months.
A generous bequest allowed for the initial purchase of the property and many of the more significant repairs, but further funding is needed to fully restore and furnish the property. To that end, recurring monthly or yearly subscriptions that can be managed without impacting donations to your local body will be greatly appreciated. One-time contributions are also encouraged, each in accordance with their means, whether it is ten dollars or ten thousand.
The timing of many of these repairs really does matter, so please donate now by sending a payment to the Grand Treasurer General at gtg@oto-usa.org via PayPal, or by check for larger amounts so as to avoid fees. Checks should be made out to “Ordo Templi Orientis U.S.A.”, and either method should be accompanied by a memo/note stating that it is for the Profess House.
Every donation counts, and every donation is appreciated.
All donations will go directly to the building for its renovation and ongoing maintenance. We will make periodic updates on the progress so that you can see specifically what your donations are doing to help the Order. Thank you for your assistance!

Love is the law, love under will.
