My Mom Jayne is a new documentary examining the life of the actress Jayne Mansfield. It was directed by her daughter Mariska Hargitay, best known for her portrayal of Olivia Benson in the long running TV series, Law and Order: SVU. In a recent New York Times interview, Hargitay discussed many aspects of the film and of her mother’s life, but does not mentioned Mansfield’s involvement with Anton LaVey and his Church of Satan. Once we have a chance to see this, I’ll report back (but first we wanna watch Sinners first, and that just became free watching on Max.
