Thelemic scholar Richard Kaczynski posted an audio lecture with slideshow of a talk based on his book Panic In Detroit, which looked at the attempts of Aleister Crowley and Charles Stansfield Jones to establish a Supreme Grand Council of Ordo Templi Orientis in Detroit Michigan — which wound up blowing up in their faces quite royally. But led to a revision of the O.T.O. initiation rituals fairly close to the state we experience them today.
His FB post says:
“With speaking gigs cancelled for the first nine months of 2020 (and counting), I am missing seeing friends both old and new. So I thought I’d share a quick “slides and narration” version of my talk from the Panic in Detroit book launch. May it offer distraction from whatever you’re tired of doing during lockdown. Till we can meet again face-to-face! ”
