Rose Ankh Publishing has announced the planned publication of Alexandrian Witchcraft: Mystery, Power and the Enduring Legacy of Alex and Maxine Sanders (working title) in 2026. The posted announcement says:
To commemorate the centenary of the birth of Alex Sanders, one of the most influential figures in modern witchcraft, a landmark publication is scheduled for release in 2026. This scholarly volume brings together four leading figures: William Wallworth, genealogist and occultist; Maxine Sanders, co-founder of the Alexandrian Tradition; Dr John Callow, historian, author and occultist; and Sharon Day, historian, author and occultist. In a unique collaboration, they examine the origins, development and ongoing significance of the Alexandrian Tradition of Witchcraft.
Spanning a century of cultural transformation, from the countercultural movements of the 1960s to the complexities of the digital age, the book explores how the tradition has adapted, evolved, and maintained its influence within broader esoteric and spiritual contexts. Through a combination of historical scholarship and first-hand reflection, this study traces the evolution of a movement that continues to shape modern occult thought and practice.
Central to the work is the newly compiled genealogical research of William Wallworth, alongside personal reflections from Maxine Sanders. Many of these recollections are published here for the first time. They are presented and critically contextualised by Dr John Callow and Sharon Day, who situate them within a wider historical and cultural framework.
This forthcoming volume will offer a significant contribution to the study of contemporary witchcraft and the modern Western esoteric tradition, shedding new light on the legacy of Alex and Maxine Sanders and the enduring resonance of Alexandrian Witchcraft.
The volume will be available in three editions; Fine and Deluxe, both Limited; and Standard Hardcover.
