One hundred three years ago today, Aaron Soffer “Bunny” Lapin was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Lapin is best known for being the person who invented Reddi-Whip in 1948, so his birthday is celebrated in the United States as National Whipped Cream Day. Lapin had other food inventions that were not as popular as Reddi-Whip, including Touch ‘N Shake aerosol milkshake and Touch ‘N Spread cinnamon-flavored margarine. He died July 10, 1999.
