Yesterday was the 200th anniversary of the greater feast for the Marquis de Sade, and a number of media outlets published features in honor of the occasion. The Guardian featured a quiz on “How Well do you know the Marquis de Sade,” the Telegraph had a short biographical feature, and Flavorwire ran an interesting discussion of the value of reading de Sade (and a discussion of why, even though he remains an important figure in our culture, so few people read him).
