List of “Famous Ordo Templis Orientis Members” Ranked by Popularity

This is pretty rich,  a list of alleged “Famous” O.T.O. members –  ranked by “fame and popularity” no less! And – WHA! – Aleister Crowley isn’t ranked number one? Well, that honor goes to Jay-Z… so I guess the ranking is not based on the degree of credibility in each respective claim but current popmeter ratings on TMI.

One might also question the degree of scholarship involved in the research based on the typos and obvious mis-statements of fact appearing. The intro to the listisle says:

“List of Famous Ordo Templis [hmm, it says ‘Templi’ on my initiation certificates!] Orientis Members ranked by fame and popularity. Ordo Templis Orientis otherwise known as OTO is an international religious organization. Occultist and religious leader Aleister Crowley was initiated into the group in 1910 and he quickly integrated Thelma pantheons [might this be a nuteru of Goddesses all named “Thelma”?] into the OTO encouraging members to “do what thou wilt.” Here is a list of famous Ordo Templis Orientis members.

Ordo Templis Orientis membership is private, but many followers openly speak of their beliefs. In 2013, Peaches Geldof took to twitter to declare her allegiance to the OTO and rapper Jay-Z uses OTO symbols in his Rocawear clothing line [last time I checked,  NOT! images like the ‘eye in the triangle’ as it appears in his merch line are pinched from Freemasonry – or possibly from the back of a U.S. dollar bill — which in turn pinched it from Masonry, perhaps]. Hova himself has even been spotted wearing a hoody with the OTO adage ‘do what thou wilt’ written on it. [this of course was actually a John Galliano hoodie {https://www.polyvore.com/john_galliano_do_what_thou/thing?id=8551770} a stylist brought to the “Run This Town” video shoot]. Guitarist Jimmy Page incorporated OTO symbolism into Led Zeppelin’s music [uh, not really unless you count writing ‘Do what thou wilt…’ in the run off groove of one of their albums counts] and even purchased Aleister Crowley’s house.

“Many artists, film makers and musicians have taken inspiration from the Ordo Templis Orientis. Director Stanley Kubrick incorporated visuals that elude [he means ‘allude,’ yes?] to the OTO in his final film ‘Eyes Wide Shut.’ [I WISH!!]. The Beatles featured an image of Aleister Crowley himself on the cover of their Sgt. Peppers album. Thelmic references can also be found throughout George Lucas’ ‘Star Wars Trilogy.’

“What do you think makes the Ordo Templis Orientis so fascinating to so many people? Share your thoughts in the comments section.”

So what this actually is is a list of anyone who’s ever been accused of being an initiate of Ordo Templi Orientis going back to the 1960’s.  And about three who actually are.

Likely you’re  more than familiar with all these folks’ rumored connection with our Most Holy Order. If half of them actually were — I’m sure the Grand Treasurer General would be a happy guy! All these allegations have been denied, debunked or not given a shred of corroboration for many a year at this point. You’ll find posts on that count at this very blog – look ’em up! But Alex Jones would tell you that’s because of our ongoing, meticulous cover-up operation. YAY US!

  1. The famous O.T.O. Member may know somethingh about Kabbalah, but they don’t know that a true initiate is always discrete and will not reveal that he/she is a member of the order.

  2. I think you’re kind of right about star wars. I was thinking the same thing, but take a look about theosophy too. They have a really similar take on the master/ apprentice dynamics. Also the qabalah tree of life represents the rise of the padawan from a common person to initiate, training and evolution guides him up the tree, takes him across the abyss, to eventually ascend to jedi “status”. Hopefully to take another apprentice to pass all the hermetic knowledge onto.
    Just my opinion. Greetings!
