I’m Confused! And Dazed

Here’s footage of the Yardbirds performing on French TV in 1968. Their guitarist at the time was Jimmy Page, collector of Crowleyana and reputed to be a devotee of Thelemic theurgy and thaumaturgy. They perform three songs. The second is a cover of New York singer/songwriter’s “I’m Confused” with his original lyrics and an arrangement that suggest the Led Zeppelin song “Dazed And Confused” which features some of those same lyrics and the disinctive descending chord pattern. Actually the first tune they perform is the Johnny Burnette Trio song “Train Kept a Rollin” though they start it with some guitar flourishes that would later turn up in the crescendo sectin of “Dazed And Confused”
