Historic Basilica in Venice Floods

ArchaeologyNewsNetwork reported that unusually high water levels in Venice saw a historical basilica being flooded:

“St Mark’s Basilica in Venice was damaged by Monday’s exceptionally high acqua alta in the lagoon city, the First Procurator of St Mark’s, Carlo Alberto Tesserin, said Tuesday.”
