A Feast for The Supreme Ritual and The Equinox of the Gods

“A feast for the Supreme Ritual, and a feast for the Equinox of the Gods.” –AL II:40

On Sunday 18 March, William Blake Lodge in the Valley of Baltimore celebrated A Feast for The Supreme Ritual and The Equinox of the Gods with a ritual written by IAO131. The ritual welcomes the advent of the New Aeon with the story of how it came to be, including Aleister Crowley’s invocation of the sylphs in 1904 that led to the writing of the Book of the Law. It culminates in a renunciation of old aeon ideals and a mark of commitment to the principals of the new.

The Lodge was delighted to welcome siblings and guests from not only the local area, but also from Golden Thread Encampment and Azul Nox Encampment in Pennsylvania, and even Astarte Lodge in Germany. A potluck feast provided delicious culinary delights including homemade cupcakes, hummus, baba ganoush, olive tapenade, falafel, sweet potatoes, charcuterie, and so much more. “Be goodly therefore: dress ye all in fine apparel; eat rich foods and drink sweet wines and wines that foam!” (AL I:51).

Naturally the most dramatic moments are best conveyed without words. Below are a few scenes from the ritual, followed by recipes and related links. Click on the thumbnail to see the full size image!
