Robert James “Bob” Keeshan was born June 27, 1927 in Lynnbrook, New York. Most people remember him as Captain Kangaroo, though some may also recall that he played Clarabell the Clown on the Howdy Doody show.

In honor of his birthday because he was beloved by many, here is a suggested feast in his honor. Captain Kangaroo was born in the sign of Cancer, corresponding to the Moon and water, so you will find that the menu also reflects the lunar current.
